Dr Carp graduated with a medical degree in 1987 and worked as a clinician for over 20 years. Throughout his career Dr. Carp has used his training, experience and understanding of the health system to help drive innovations to improve healthcare for all Australians. This included founding a number of businesses including UHG, Australia’s leading platform connecting businesses and healthcare providers. Today, he has a portfolio of healthcare interests in entrepreneurial enterprises and not-for-profits. As Entrepreneurial Lead of AUSCEP, he is keen to see a pathway for health entrepreneurship established to empower more clinicians to improve healthcare through innovation.
Dr. Carlo Bellini

Dr Carlo Bellini is a medical doctor, entrepreneur, and coach. Dr. Bellini has had a multi-disciplinary and global career including being a startup Founder, building a leading coaching school, deep tech experience in Silicon Valley, top-tier management consulting, and Chief Medical Officer of a Fortune 100 company.
Dr. Bellini relocated from US to Australia pre-pandemic and manages a boutique consultancy which leverages his health experience and unique insights into the health system, technology, and clinician and patient behaviour. He is excited to be Co-Clinical Lead and help the AUSCEP participants on their journey to improving healthcare.

Professor Fiona Wood AM

Winthrop Professor Fiona Wood of The University of Western Australia (UWA) is a Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon specialising in the field of burn care, trauma and scar reconstruction.
As Director of the WA Burns Service of Western Australia since 1991 she is consultant surgeon at both the South Metropolitan Heath Service (Fiona Stanley Hospital) and the Child and Adolescent Health Service (Perth Children’s Hospital). As Director of the UWA Burns Injury Research Unit she leads an interdisciplinary team with broad collaboration focused on translation to improve clinical outcomes.
Fiona also sits on the National Science and Technology Council and was Australian of the Year in 2005. Fiona is a Founder of regenerative medicine company Avita Medical and inventor of the company’s Recell "spray-on skin" product that addresses an unmet need in therapeutic skin restoration for adults, where patients would traditionally have to receive painful skin grafts. Avita Medical is listed on the ASX and NASDAQ.
